Dear friends and colleagues.

It will take place on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 7 p.m. in Hans Belting Library (the ground-floor of building “K” of the Faculty of Arts at the Masaryk University, Veveří 28). Furthermore, he also specializes in monastic architecture and the function of monastic spaces.

For his Thursday lecture, Yves Gallet will prepare a paper on the Abbey Church at Mont-Saint-Michel which was in the Middle Ages, and still is, a popular destination for pilgrims. These travellers were/are coming to visit contact relics of the archangel and to experience Mont-Saint-Michel’s genius loci. On this tidal island, the architecture completes impressive landscape of the region, connecting earth, sea and heaven.
